Does anyone have the Zalman ZM-NC2000 laptop cooler ?

Filed under: english — ubuntudemon @ 10:31 am

I’m potentially interested in buying the Zalman ZM-NC2000 to cool my laptop. Does anyone have this laptop cooler ? If so could you please do me a big favor and do some measurements for me ?

I would like to know the two distances which I illustrated in the picture (the red distance and the yellow distance). The red distance is important because I want to know whether the air can blow directly into the air intake for my cpu. I need an exact measurement for this because the ZM-NC1000 was too small for this. The yellow distance is important because I don’t want too much air to escape at the sides. Exact measurements are also important because I need to convert it to the metric system.

Thank you very much in advance!

  1. Hello I’ve tested this cooler for Madshrimps.be
All credits go to jm_ke though, ’cause i didn’t find the time to write an article about it…

  3. Oops, that measurement is not there, but if you ask on the forum of that page, I’m sure the reviewer will be able to measure.

  4. Thanks for the link guys.

For some reason I don’t receive any email after registering on the madshrimps.be forum so I can’t confirm my account.

I don’t have an answer to my question yet. When I do I’ll post back here.

  5. Hi, I have this notebook cooler (NC2000). Here is the exact measurements in cm :
    32,5 cm large (yellow distance)
    16 cm depth

Well it’s nice for my notebook (15″4 the air doesn’t escape at the sides), but I’d like to have much in depth.

But I think this is the best notebook cooler you can fing right now. Ciao 😉

  6. Oh it’s not 16 cm in depth but 17,1 cm ! (Because your red arrow goes until the… err… don’t know the word in english… the BLACK material 🙂 )

  7. Thanks guys.

I posted this question also here :

I got my answer here :
    http://www.madshrimps.be/vbulletin/f9/does-anyone-have-zalman-zm-nc2000-laptop-cooler-44580/

    Red: 16cm
    Yellow: 32.3cm

32.3 cm for yellow is perfect for me as my laptop is 31.7 cm wide.

But 16 cm for red is not very good. Because my cpu air intake starts at 15 cm (from the rubber feet of the laptop) and continues until about 17.3 cm. So less than half of my cpu intake is directly above the air flow. Which is sub-optimal.

  8. Thanks everyone!

Séb this means that my cpu air intake is almost completely directly above the air flow which is what I want.

    Perfect!

  10. No problem ! You’re welcome :d

You can put your notebook at the bottom too (over the black thing), because the hot stuffs are at the back of the computer in general.

  12. I have a ZM-NC2000 for my Vostro 1700 notebook. Love it! Well design product, keeps the laptop to a relatively stable temperature. Very quiet. Recommend getting one.
