Edgy might have a X display configuration tool

Filed under: Uncategorized — ubuntudemon @ 10:47 am

From a post in the ubuntu-motu mailinglist :

Matt Zimmerman :

It’s something which should have been discussed and specified in advance in order to be part of the Edgy roadmap, but there’s no reason it couldn’t be packaged for universe so that we can start to look at it. I suggest finding the source code and proposing it to the MOTU team to see if anyone with packaging skills is interested in taking this on.

Andreas Lloyd :

Would anybody here be interested in trying their hand at packaging the Red Hat Display Configuration tool for Universe?

So Edgy might have fedora’s X display configuration tool in universe. Which would be great for a lot of users.

Here’s the forum thread.

  1. look here – http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=156243
